Arizona Defensive Driving Requirements

  1. Your traffic citation must be a Moving Violation.
  2. A Commercial driver’s license is not eligible regardless of whether or not you were driving commercially at the time of the violation.
  3. You can only take a course for one violation.
  4. You have not attended Arizona defensive driving school for another traffic citation issued within the last 12 months of your current traffic citation (unless ordered or allowed to do so by the MVD or Court). The 12-month period is calculated from the traffic citation/violation date, not defensive driving school class attendance date.
  5. Your traffic citation did not result in serious injury or death of anyone involved.

What You Need to Register

  1. A copy of your traffic violation.
  2. A copy of your driver's license or other government issued identification.

Refund Policy

Once you have started the ComedyTrafficSchool.com course, the Arizona Supreme Court requires that there be no refunds for any court or state fees unless: a) an officer fails to file a citation with a court and the cited person attends a diversion course for that citation; b) when a citation is dismissed by a jurisdictional court on its own motion, for technical problems that are not correctable under civil traffic rules (rules of the court); c) the court requests the refund to be granted.
